Modeling: Outlining the Essay

Tomorrow, you will write an essay in class on the following prompt:

Explore the spiritual and emotional changes of Dr. Andrey Yefimitch Ragin in Chekhov’s "Ward No. 6.” How and why does the main character change throughout the story? Write an informative/explanatory essay using three to six pieces of textual evidence to support an original thesis statement. (RL.9-10.1, RL.9-10.2, SL.9-10.1, W.9-10.2, W.9-10.9)

  1. One Sentence!
  2. Answer the prompt!
  3. Be Specific!
  4. Concentrate on LANGUAGE CONTROL! (grammar, spelling, usage, vocabulary, formal language, wording, etc..)
